Star Wars Analysis

Cycle of the Hero:
Luke is the hero we are following through this cycle. The call to adventure happens when Obi Wan directly asks Luke to go to Elderan with him. C3PO, R2D2 and Obi Wan are the helpers. They help him fight and get through the struggles. Tests would include the death of his aunt and uncle and the fight in the bar. The triumph is obviously the battle between good and evil. I believe the flight is the battle between Luke and his father because Luke had just figured out that Vader was his father. The threshold struggle is the moment the Emperor tries to kill Luke because Vader realizes he needs to be a father to Luke rather than an enemy. I'm not sure what to put for the elixir but i think its when Luke returns from destroying the death star.

Literacy Archetypes:
Hero: Luke. He does things for the right reasons.

Antihero: Han Solo. He does the right thing for the wrong reasons. He wants to be paid.

The Wise Fool: Obi Wan. Some people think hes crazy but he is very wise and correct.

The Devil Figure: The Emperor. He is the one who convinces people to cross to the dark side.

The Outcast:

The Double: Darth Vader. He plays the evil side as Vader but he also plays the good side in the end when he acts as Lukes father instead of Lukes enemy.

The Scapegoat:

The Temptress: The force. Everyone wants a piece of it but only few find and believe in the force.

The Good Mother: Princess Leia. She supports and cares.
